No trains

No airplanes

No people speaking while going along the street

like the earth is standing still

and waiting –

like the earth is breathing in and out

taking a break

waiting for something

I try to listen

and the only things I can hear –

birds twittering

wind blowing  

like the breath of the earth

just waiting –

for

what?
